1940 Dodge Open Engine Bay Pick Up Truck

The truck was originally a 1.5 Ton Dump Rack Body, found rotting away at a local Warwick Junk Yard in 2019. I brought her home and she was going to be a Rat Rod. I just couldn't leave her rusty and ended up taking her all the way. All of the work was done in my home garage by me.

The Custom Frame is built out of 3/16-2x4 rectangular tubing with all of the joints internally gusseted, hole welded, then seam welded via MIG . The front suspension is a Super Bell Drop Axle I Beam from Pete & Jakes (Shout out to Jerry & Jason....Awesome Guys!). The rear suspension is 4-Link. Both the Front & Rear suspension utilize a Pan-hard Bar. She has Disc Brakes all around with a frame mounted Brake Booster. The Power Steering is an electric from a Saturn Vue with a drop box to clear that wide HEMI.

I also did all the Metal Work, Chop, Body Work, Wiring & Interior Panels.

I couldn't find a set of Headers I liked, so I built my own and had them Ceramic Coated by JET HOT.

The paint was done with the help of my son Travis. Thanks Trav! Picking a color wasn't easy and if I don't give my wife the credit for picking the color I won't live to my next build!

The motor was built by Paul Tester at Tester Motorsports on Oak Ridge NJ, and the interior by Chris Nace of Rehab Upholstery & Kustoms in Emmaus, PA.

I was going to get a Vanity Plate that read "3-Times" because it took me 3 times to get each part of the build right! I'm glad I built her and she's a blast to drive!
